Description
An expired server authorization token is preventing the workstation client from communicating with the server running PrinterLogic Web Stack (formerly Printer Installer). While this issue does not impact direct IP printing from workstations, it does block PrinterLogic client-to-server communication. Features affected include secure release printing, mobile printing, printer object deployment, VDI printing, and self-service printer installation.
Versions of PrinterLogic Web Stack impacted by this issue are the following:
- 17
- 18
- 19
All Workstation client versions are unaffected.
PrinterLogic SaaS customers and MSPs are unaffected.
Current Status
The primary issue has been resolved and can be fixed by following the steps below.

Download the patch from the following location: http://downloads.printerlogic.com/PrinterLogicWebStackPatch-12-20-2019-final.exe
- Run the executable on your PrinterLogic Web Stack server with administrative privileges.
- This patch will make the necessary updates to allow the workstation client to resume communications with the PrinterLogic Web Stack server.
Root Cause
- The OAuth token for the server running PrinterLogic Web Stack expired, blocking client-to-server communications
Remediation
PrinterLogic has modified time-based testing procedures in the QA process to ensure token expiration issues are identified and prevented in the future.
